Our story and success began with our family adventure in 2003. As part of our son Yanni’s elementary school project, he came up with a novel way to teach USA geography through a game he called “Vamanos To America” – “Let’s Go to America”. This game was enjoyed by Yanni’s classmates and inspired his dad, Dahmane to develop and sell games as a business. The father and son team embarked on a journey unfamiliar to both, learning everything required to develop and bring games to market. Little did we know…

The father and son team embarked on a journey unfamiliar to both, learning everything required to develop and bring games to market. Little did we know 14 years later that we would become part of a growing grass-roots game development trend.

Our Story

This trend would prove popular amongst a wide global demographic and became the antidote to filling a strong desire amongst families and friends to once again, enjoy social interaction while at the same time learn strategic skills. The journey continued. In early 2004, Yanni bored by the classical domino game, told his dad he could invent a better one. A few months later, working together, Zingamino™…

The journey continued. In early 2004, Yanni bored by the classical domino game, told his dad he could invent a better one. A few months later, working together, Zingamino™ was born. Taken from Swahili, the word Zinga means to turn in circles, and that’s just what players do in a race to fill four game circles that must connect sequentially. The luck of the draw can bring a “Zinga” for extra points or even the win. What goes around comes around in a beautiful balance of strategy and chance. One year later, we started attending game shows and toy fairs. We sold over 1000 units after an article appeared in the Sacramento Bee newspaper…

In February 2006, we attended the New York International Games and Toys Fair at the Jarvis Center, Manhattan, NY. In September 2006, the Zingamino game was shown at the Orlando Inventors Game Fair. At the fair, Jax, Ltd. management saw and liked the game so much they decided to license it. In December, 2006 we created Zingamino, LLC and signed a licensing agreement with Jax, Ltd. to build, market and sell the Zingamino game under their own new name Link-O™ in US, Canada, and Mexico…

In 2016, Yanni’s twin sisters, Annya and Katia Dahmani joined the team and together formed a new company: “LZG Games and Toys, LLC” with the motto “The Ancient Games with a Modern Twist “. LZG Games & Toys developed and launched international versions of Zingamino named: Zinga-Zinga!™ to tap into the European, North African, and Gulf Cooperation Council Countries market.

We are very excited to continue our journey and to announce the development of a new exciting game, ZhiZhu!™. The excitement and journey continues in Nuremburg, Germany when we introduce these two popular games Zinga-Zinga! and ZhiZhu! at the Spielwarenmesse, eG, the International Toys Fair in Nuremburg, Feb 1-6, 2017.
